I chose to do an apprenticeship over University because I learn better from doing and performing tasks rather than learning about how I could do something. For me, it was important that I was learning on the job because it means I’m able to learn from my mistakes.
I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone thinking about their next step in education. I’m already a step ahead of all of my friends, I have experience that I never would have got from a degree and I’m learning valuable lessons from experienced colleagues.
